Tuesday post

Religion is viewed as possibly the biggest superstition in the world but truthfully, is used to keep people in order. If it was known that a God existed without a shadow of a doubt, would it benefit the whole? Probably not.
If the world knew that there was one god that existed, it would eradicate culture and the diversity of religion and regions. It might eradicate wars between countries or maybe even cause greater destruction but people would fall out of line one way or another. Religion is almost like a set of moral rules that teaches someone how to live their lives and be accepted by god. Since nobody wants to go to hell... Or jail, they will cease to kill or steal. Now legal punishments don't cover adultery or lying so that is where religion falls into play. If people are certain that there is a god, they may act more according to his will and actually be afraid due to his existence. But what's worse is if people were convinced that there is no god. Then all would definitely fall to chaos because nobody will have the fear of hell. Religion is a system of rewards and punishments, remove that system, you create disorder.

The wall the Dostoyevsky talks about is like a barrier that keeps us ignorant to what the truth on the other side could be.
