       Modern day society is all about being different and going against the what is usually expected, yet people feel the need to follow the mass and do everything they possible can to fit in, even if it is not for their own benefit nor something they would usually do. We are usually told to be ourselves, and in all honestly I think we really try too because we all want to be unique in order to stand out but the desire to fit in and belong to a society surpasses the idea of being your own person. Even if people don't agree with anything that society stands for they still choose to follow the mass. I never really thought about this in depth until todays discussion. Its so much easier to be yourself and live life in your own manner; why do we choose to live how everyone else does? The need to fit in and belong is far too great, and I strongly believe that this will never change. As society shifts people will too just so they can keep up with the current way of life.
