Live or Die?
Whenever we try to predict human behavior and actions, we often fail miserably. This is because, unlike laws of physics, human decisions cannot be mathematically calculated. The human race is illogical, irrational, and self-destrutive. Our decisions to veer off the path of logic are done so consciously; understanding the 'beneficial decision' hardly ever convinces us to choose it. We hate to be stifled and controlled, and we seek to exercise our one true advantage over other animals: the ability to choose. We do not have to be governed by laws of nature; in fact, we often challenge them and push ourselves to dangerous limits. We do it to feel independent and to feel alive. What we want most is the decision to chose whether to live or die; our one true advantage is the ability to determine our own fates.
