Why Conflict Errupts

We were taught before in a previous lecture that man is selfish. They only do what benefits themselves. In my opinion, this principle has a lot to do with what was discussed in class today. The reason why we do things that put us in harm way is that we are selfish and only want ourselves to benefit in that moment. Selfishness is also what causes war, which was discussed today. People are selfish and want more land or wants their principles to be implemented in other nations. It is because of selfishness that there is currently three huge civil wars occurring around the world. Man's biggest advantage might also be its biggest flaw.
