Monday Post

Many of the discussions we have in class all come back to the same idea: humans tend to fear the unknown. We are all frightened to some extent when we are trying new things or whenever we are forced to take a new and different "path". This wall that the narrator speaks of is basically what is guarding us and is making us feel protected from that unknown. In our class discussions we talk about how we rely on that wall and how it is constantly set up around us. I agree, I do think we set up walls to feel support and protection, but I believe that soon enough we learn to overcome them. Like I mentioned before, when we first try something new it can seem pretty frightening, but after we overcome that obstacle we overcome the fear that comes with it; in a sense we get through that wall that was once used as a security blanket or some form of protection.
