Tuesday post: what is our ultimate advantage?

As we discussed the human advantage over other living things in the wolrd, I was able to identify that we are able to cause harm to ourselves for the exchange of desire, pleasure, or will of being at risk. The feeling one gets from sky diving or accelerating a vehicle to high velocities is hard to describe, but known and common to all. That rush and pleasure one feels at putting himself in danger seems unintelligent, however, us humans do it, and we do it alone with no other animals following our paths. A good example to compare the human ability to cause harm to himself vs. normal animals living to survive can be seen in auicides, an act common and known to humans only. Have you ever heard of an animal  killing himself on purpose?

I believe that is an advantage since we can act in different situations at different times in life. At times that call for extreme decision making that may cause harm to oneself. The human life is drastically different from an animal life. We do not live in sole survival mode, survival, at least in most parts of the world , is given to us by society.  Therefore we seek other elements  to seek pleasure and desire in since we have so much extra time to deal with.
