Monday

Today was the first day in all of the reading that a began to have a slightly negative viewpoint towards the author. Today's reading gave off an undeniable sense of egocentrism from the speaker. I understand that he has all of these views about how humanity is just so awful and how we live in the dark compared to him, and enlightened individual who seems to have the answers to everything. Instead of pissing and moaning about how mankind (a society that he does not seem to associate himself with) calculates everything which turns out to be one of our many flaws, the speaker could have tried to help society see things in a way that might have changed how the last several hundred years occurred. I understand that he does not agree with a lot of the things that people are doing, but at least they are doing something, he does nothing but complain and disassociate himself from mankind.
