A human’s innate bloodthirsty desire and yearning for
violence can never be completely suppressed as we discussed in class. Religion
itself was supposed to be a way out, some sort of escape that makes it wrong to
commit violent acts, but in reality, it had the complete opposite effect.
Religion was supposed to teach people that killing for example, was wrong, they’re
beliefs were supposed keep them peaceful. Yet, as people started having
different beliefs and this is where the problems started. In my opinion, a
perfect world or utopia will never be the same for every person and it will not
be one in which all humans believe the same thing or believe nothing at all. A
perfect world is, for me, one in which we all have our own different beliefs
and have nothing against what other people believe. If this took place, war
over which religion is better would disappear.
Nevertheless, violence is not completely suppressed; people
still kill for the hell of it. This can also relate to the topic discussed
yesterday about humans being irrational and illogical. Killing is not logical
or irrational, and even though some people might think they have a reason for
doing so, I think they kill because of the thrill, the rush of doing something
dangerous because in that moment, nothing else matters except what is right in
front of you.
