Mona touched on the fact that we do things because the acts
have evolved along with society to become socially acceptable. I see that as a
true and vital statement to the topic of talk because it is basically society
that molds us into what we are today. Society gets our souls when they are
blank slates and slowly starts adding their morals and ideas. The fact that our
souls are so vulnerable to being shaped is a good and bad thing at the same
time because it means that we have something getting in the way of us seeing
what our “natural” state creature would do. This is helpful in situations in
which, for example, you catch your partner cheating, and you (usually) don’t go
and kill the other person. The opposite harmful side can be seen in instances
such as the smoking or extreme sports. The soul needs to be fed with free will,
period.
