Much
of what was said today I did not captivate for some reason. I was only focusing
on what I had to say. Unfortunately even though I had many thoughts on the
paragraph they were completely different from other people’s thoughts. When
Fyodor Dostoyevsky talked about his consciousness he said it was a disease
since he cannot choose one path. This is due to the fact that he can see both
sides with clarity.
Another
interesting idea that we discussed was his thoughts on the sublime and
beautiful. He interprets the world as a place that is not sublime and beautiful
and wants to destroy it. The reason for this is he cannot fit in society
because of the amount of intellect he holds and although he is still proud of
that intellect he is still trying to fit in but cant.
