Response

After thinking and analyzing that paragraph that was assigned to me in class today, I understand it much more than I did before. In my opinion, Dostoyevsky is very conscious causing him to over think things a lot. It is this that causes him to look for the negative aspect of each event in his life and ruin the moment for himself. In the moments where it is "sublime and beautiful", he thinks it is too good to be true and attempts to analyze it, causing him to see the negative parts and become unhappy.
