I might be surprised tomorrow, but from what happened today,
the discussions don’t seem as bad as I expected them. Then again my feelings
might change once it is actually my turn to go. I thought it was interesting to
see that we can somewhat connect every work we have read in this class to one
lecture or another, as if everything interlaced (which is probably done on
purpose). I sort of like this because it gives me different perspectives on
what others think about Dostroyevsky’s work and, although it may be the
complete opposite of what I think, it opens up my mind to new ideas I thought
it was interesting how Dostoyevky and Kafka connect even though they wrote in
completely different periods.
