done…finally

Having finished this story, I find myself looking at the speaker in a variety of different lights. On one hand, do I sympathize with his obviously damaged psychological state or do I think that he is just another recluse spewing more negativity into the world. It’s obvious that he grew up with something wrong, he seems to have an incredibly large inferiority complex, and he values himself far less than any other person which is, quite frankly, sad to hear. He seems to despise himself physically, emotionally, and intellectually, for which reasons I just truly do not understand. I could see these aspects and think, oh poor him, and to an extend, I do. But, I think that everyone, no matter your background, has a sad story to tell, but it is your responsibility, as it was this speaker’s, to turn your life into something different. I do not know much about the author, so I couldn’t say that he had any of these attributes in real life, but the book was certainly an interesting take upon a situations that many of us think little about in our normal lives.
